It is looking increasingly likely that the recent Bitcoin price dip to lows of $6,500 will mark a long-term bottom for the cryptocurrency, as its bulls have been able to propel its price higher and sustain their momentum, with the Bitcoin (BTC) price now targeting a movement to $8,000.

Analysts are now noting that Bitcoin is clearly shifting its recent downtrend in favor of its bulls, which may mean that significantly further upside is imminent for the cryptocurrency.

Alex Krüger, a popular economist who focuses primarily on cryptocurrencies, explained in a recent tweet that he believes Bitcoin is currently expressing signs of showing a clear long-term bottom. “My current $BTC roadmap. Should be obvious why I believed $8000 “will trade again soon”, it’s where downtrend accelerated. The bottom is textbook perfect, many people quit in rage, Bitmex funding about to turn positive. Whatever the case may be, one crypto analyst who has made a string of accurate calls in the past, is now saying that Bitcoin will go “to the $1,000 range.”

The analyst explains that this would be “good for crypto” as it would “destroy investors and projects,” claiming that’s exactly what the space needs. He also tweeted the following regarding the Ripple XRP price, “While I love XRP (and I do believe that it is superior to all other cryptocurrencies) if BTC falls to the 1000 range as I’m currently anticipating, I think XRP could simultaneously fall to 0.03. I hate to report that, but that’s what the charts suggest, if BTC falls to 1000.”

Bitcoin bull and Wall Street veteran Max Keiser has issued a massive BTC price prediction, saying as game theory suggest, governments around the world will start putting Bitcoin on their balance sheet sending BTC parabolic to $1,000,000.

A Bitcoin Price Dip For Ants? BTC Quickly Rebounds to a New High Above $57,800

The price of Bitcoin (BTC) dipped to as low as $53,905 on Binance overnight, recording a sudden 6% drop. But despite the minor correction, the price of Bitcoin quickly recovered thereafter, reaching a new all-time high above $57,800 on Feb. 21.

Although Bitcoin saw a steep drop within merely hours, analysts pinpointed that it fell to the exact bottom of a short-term trendline.

John Cho, the Director of Global Expansion at Ground X, noted that the drop was a liquidity fill at a lower price.

A liquidity fill simply means when an asset drops after stagnating to fill buy orders at the bottom of the range

A drop was expected because Bitcoin was consolidating with the futures funding rate at around 0.15%.

Across major futures exchanges, the Bitcoin futures funding rate was hovering between 0.1% to 0.2%, and it was particularly high for stablecoin pairs.

Bitcoin futures exchanges use a mechanism called funding to incentivize buyers or sellers based on market sentiment.

For example, when there are more buyers in the market, the funding rate turns positive. When that happens, buyers have to pay sellers a portion of their position every eight hours.

When the funding rate is high but the price of Bitcoin is consolidating, the risk of a big short-term drop increases.

The funding rate for altcoins, including Ether (ETH) and DeFi tokens, reset to around 0.05%. As such, altcoins saw a stronger bounce than BTC.

Misa Christanto, an analyst at Messari, said that in a bear market, everything is correlated. But Bitcoin, which is also considered a “reflation trade,” has been resilient. She wrote:

“US Treasury curve is steepening. Why should we care? Because in a bear market, everything is correlated. So far the headwinds have been on equity returns, on unprofitable tech names. Reflation trades like $BTC unaffected.”

The past few weeks have undoubtedly been rough for crypto; from the February highs, the Bitcoin price has fallen 36%, reaching a low of $3,800 in March.

Robert Kiyosaki, the author of the popular financial book “Rich Dad Poor Dad,” sees no reason to fear, though. In fact, the well-known investor recently went as far as to say that it’s time to drop dollars for Bitcoin (BTC) and other hard money.

In a recent tweet, Kiyosaki explained that with the Fed “counterfeiting […] trillions of fake dollars – $82 billion a month to $125 billion a day” and interest rates at 0%, it makes sense to save “gold, god’s money, or Bitcoin, people’s money,” rather than the fiat dollars that don’t yield anything and are being constantly debased.

He added in a later tweet that the dollar is likely “dying,” boosting the case to invest in gold, silver, and Bitcoin.

“DEATH OF DOLLAR. People desperate for money. Very sad. If government gives you free money take it yet spend it wisely. DO NOT SAVE. Buy gold, silver, Bitcoin. Dollar is dying. Silver $20. Best Buy for future security. Everyone can afford $20, especially with free fake money.”

It should come as no surprise, then, that demand for Bitcoin is booming regardless of the current BTC price action.

Leading cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase reported that during the now-infamous “Black Thursday” crash, the exchange saw a dramatic surge in buying interest for cryptocurrency:

“But beyond just a rush, two things are clear: customers of our retail brokerage were buyers during the drop, and Bitcoin was the clear favorite. Our customers typically buy 60% more than they sell but during the crash this jumped to 67%, taking advantage of market troughs and representing strong demand for crypto assets even during extreme volatility.”

The U.S.-based Kraken corroborated this narrative, writing in a recent tweet that the exchange “recorded an 83% rise in sign ups, and a 300% increase in verifications” over the past few weeks.

John McAfee Calls Bitcoin (BTC) ‘Worthless,’ Shows Support for These Three Cryptocurrencies

Controversial antivirus mogul John McAfee, who boasts more than 1 mln Twitter followers, doesn’t think that Bitcoin is the driver of his popularity.

The crypto baron unapologetically called the leading cryptocurrency ‘worthless’ in response to one user who claimed that people are only interested in his personality because of BTC.

At a $100,000 Bitcoin price, the BTC market cap will be worth as much as Apple.

Seems like that’s the least we can do in this halving cycle according to a popular Crypto analyst.

The Bitcoin stock-to-flow model predicts a $100,000 BTC price for the first time on August 16th, 2021.

PlanB says Bitcoin could eclipse the prediction of his controversial stock-to-flow model (S2F) and meteorically rise to $864,000 in four years.

In an interview with cryptocurrency podcaster Peter McCormack, the quantitative analyst says he actually made a conservative bet when he predicted that BTC will hit $288,000.

“I’m on $288,000 as an average value. $100,000 would be very nice, too. But if you just follow the math, if you just follow the data, and I don’t mean the time-series model. So we’re not looking at Bitcoin only. We’re looking at gold, silver, diamonds, real estate, all that stuff. It’s $288,000.

That’s an average value. It could overshoot, like three times, like it did the last phases. I don’t want to mention the number. I try to be conservative all the time. But let’s say a 2x or a 3x from that $288,000, and then it crashes again, of course.”

PlanB also highlights the significance of getting a publicly-listed company to purchase hundreds of millions of dollars worth of BTC as a hedge against inflation.

“I noticed a lot of people didn’t see the importance of what MicroStrategy did but because it’s a listed company, it means that people can put Bitcoin or well [get] Bitcoin exposure in their pension funds.

They could just call their broker and, they can’t say ‘Well, get me some Bitcoin in my pension fund.’ But they can say, ‘Get me these and these and these companies. I want to have those in my pension scheme.’ In that way, you could see MicroStrategy as an ETF.”

Meanwhile, the crypto analyst remains confident in his S2F model and stresses the fact that it is following the script so far.

PlanB also notes that the king crypto is starting to seriously pique the interest of big-money players.

“We now are seeing pull from clients, from people that go to Fidelity and all the big players and ask for Bitcoin in their pension fund.”

But, the widely-followed analyst emphasizes that the S2F model is not infallible.

“The model can fail. It’s a model right. It’s a theory. It’s more to describe something and it’s quantitative so that helps. But it is a model. It can fail. Bitcoin will not fail. I don’t believe that.”

As for the Bitcoin’s current correction, PlanB says that the pullback is meant to scare new investors.

“Small Bitcoin test to shake out weak hands that entered May-Aug. If you can’t handle this, get out now. If you can, welcome to the club! Things to watch –will this be the first dip that stays above $10,000 – will we see a fast V-shape recovery next days.”
