One of the few cryptocurrency analysts to correctly call the 2019 Bitcoin pullback says he believes BTC is gearing up to finally exit a long-term bear trend that began about two-and-a-half years ago.

In a series of charts, Dave the Wave highlights Bitcoin’s movements inside a symmetrical triangle dating back to late 2017.

Since the Bitcoin price failed to break above $10,300 earlier this week, Dave now expects BTC to reach a low of about $6,500 in September before it finally breaks out of the trend for good by April 15th of next year.

Dave is closely followed in crypto circles because he was one of the few strategists who told traders back in June of 2019, when Bitcoin was trading for $13,000, to prepare for a significant correction.

He predicted BTC would fall to a low-$6,000 range by the end of the year. BTC ended up hitting a bottom of around $6,400 in December.

Dave now believes the crypto king is preparing for a long-term parabolic rally to $150,000, hitting a peak sometime in the year 2023.

The analyst says Bitcoin is poised to benefit from fiscal stimulus and increased money printing, but he believes predictions that hyperinflation is coming are overblown.

Instead, he expects the dollar to remain relatively strong compared to other currencies as an overall fiat devaluation occurs.

“Many think hyperinflation, based on simple monetary theory, is the key that unlocks the mysteries of the monetary universe. In reality, it’s an ideology for lazy minds.”

BITCOIN IS PREPPED TO SURGE TO $14,000 AS PRICE CONSOLIDATES AT CRUCIAL LEVEL

For the third time in the past year, Bitcoin saw a strong rejection at the $10,500 price point on June 2nd.

Per a previous report from Bitcoinist published June 2nd, the leading cryptocurrency tanked by $1,500 in literally three minutes on BitMEX.

At its worse, the reversal meant that Bitcoin was down to $8,600 from the $10,450 highs, which resulted in over $100 million worth of long positions being liquidated on BitMEX alone.

Many immediately took the move as a harrowing sign as to whats’ to come for the cryptocurrency market: $10,500 marked the highs of the rally in October and the one that ended this February.

Each time, prices failed to pass BTC, then crashes followed.

But even in the face of the rejection, analysts are still optimistic about what comes next for Bitcoin.

Since the $2,000 drop, Bitcoin has jumped $1,200 higher.

The asset now trades at $9,800, consolidating in the $9,000s just days on from the crash that occurred. 

BTC remains below the $10,450 high, but the bounce back near the local highs have been welcomed.

One trader shared the image below on June 5th, writing that the asset is poised to see “more downside.”

What is being depicted is Bitcoin’s macro price action but inversed; inversion is a tactic often used by traders to “eliminate bias” from their analysis.

According to the trader’s analysis of the inversed chart, Bitcoin is prepared to rally back to the 2019 yearly highs of $14,000 in the coming weeks.

The same trader further indicated his bullish sentiment in another analysis. He said that as long as Bitcoin holds $9,600, which he marked as a notable level on a short-term perspective, he sees “no reason why 11k would not be next.”

Bitcoin Price Sinks to $4,390 as Dow’s 1,000-Point Drop Risks Bigger Breakdown

Bitcoin (BTC) jumped towards $6,000 in overnight trading as Federal Reserve reduced its benchmark interest rates, but trimmed gains as some traders liquidated their positions for cash amid sell-off in stocks.

The bitcoin-to-dollar exchange rate plunged to $4,396.50 by 10:05 UTC, bringing its 24-hour losses further up by 13.78 percent. The bitcoin futures contracts listed on CME were also trading 15.67 percent lower into the day – at $4,495 – signaling that the cryptocurrency could dip further heading into the Monday’s US session.

RT host of the Keiser Report, BTC pioneer Max Keiser shared his latest Bitcoin prediction on Crypto Twitter in the following recent tweet:

“We’re in a post nation-state, post sovereign currency as entire world becomes obsessed with Bitcoin. PREDICTION: Millions of people around the world will logically buy BTC instead of paying taxes. Governments will be powerless to stop this.”

When it comes to an actual BTC price prediction, Max also shared the following:

“Just to be clear, the risk of buying Bitcoin today HAS NEVER BEEN LOWER and the upside is still huge, like 80x. This is why institutions are pouring in now. The risk has never been lower.”

For BTC to 80x from the time of his bullish prediction, would put the Bitcoin price at about $1.4 million per BTC.

Macro Guru Raoul Pal Reports Game-Changing Crush of Institutional Money Pouring Into Bitcoin, Updates BTC Price Prediction

Former Goldman Sachs fund manager and current Real Vision CEO Raoul Pal says he’s witnessing an unprecedented crush of institutional money buying Bitcoin.

In a new interview with CT’s Giovanni Pigni, Pal says BTC’s return to near $20,000 levels is just the beginning.

“From what I know, and I know a lot of people in the industry, they are all onboarding institutional clients, family offices, endowments, at an enormous pace. But $20,000 here is not the same as $20,000 back then [in 2017]. Back then it had gone up 100 fold when it got up to $20,000, we haven’t even started this yet.

Later on, when things get speculative, we will see something similar potentially play out. But the difference is, where these guys are getting it wrong, is they’re saying, ‘People aren’t as interested.’ Ya, but the real money is interested and that’s a game changer.”

Pal says Bitcoin is one of the most unique trades he’s ever seen, and the top cryptocurrency will likely benefit in the months ahead regardless of which direction the global economy takes.

“Regardless of what’s going on, that money is coming. Let’s look at the reasons. I have a feeling the vaccine takes until Q3 next year before it’s really rolled out. We look at the European economy, it is falling fast. I don’t know how they’re going to deal with Christmas and the New Year. The US economy has got the same problems. 

I think it goes into lockdown in January and February once the Biden administration comes in because the virus over Thanksgiving, New Year, and Christmas is going to grow substantially. I think we’ve got problems in India after Divali, where you’ve got hundreds of millions of people together celebrating and I think we’re going to get a big second wave in India.”

Pal is updating his prediction for the current Bitcoin cycle. He says $150,000 is likely on the low-end, but he believes PlanB’s controversial estimates in the upper $250,000 range may end up being too conservative.

“If I was to be conservative, I’d say $150,000. If I’m to be realistic knowing what I know about the flow of funds, I have a feeling that PlanB’s model is going to underprice the upside. I know everybody thinks on this cycle the price will be lower. I just don’t see it because of the amount of money coming into the space. 

I actually have a feeling it might be above his target of about $250,000 but I don’t know. But I like that optionality. Worst case $150,000, best case north of $250,000. I mean, find me another trade in the world that looks like this.”

Pal, who is a longtime crypto investor, says he can afford to take a big risk on Bitcoin and now has about 75% of his liquid net worth in BTC.
